The Chief
Jean-François Bérard
Born in the heart of Provence with parents who had just taken over the business. After a year at the Lenôtre School, Jean-François worked for a few months at the Pré Catalan where he learned to to master, alongside Frédéric Anton, the purity of the preparation, the accuracy of the cooking and the regularity. Returning to the Hostellerie in 2003, it was natural that Jean-François Bérard joined his father in the kitchen. Together, they won the Michelin star in 2006 for the gastronomic restaurant, and in 2020, the ecological and sustainable approach was rewarded by the green star and the effort of the garden of the Bastide des Saveurs.
Jef's Bistrot is a place where pure Provencal cuisine is honored.
Conviviality, sharing and the love of good products are the starting point of this will.
